We’ll have the BBQ fired up at Gerringong Uniting Church for Polling Day, with sausages sizzling from 10am to 4pm.
And your democracy sausage will be doing some good!
All proceeds will support Light Home Orphanage in India, helping provide a safe and loving home for children in need. We will also have fabulous jute shopping bags for sale that support the work of Light Home.

In 2003 a dream was planted in Founder Brother Elisha’s heart to start a Home to look after orphan, poor, neglected and needy children.
After nearly three years, it came into reality. On 1st August 2006, he started a Home called LIGHT Home with a neglected boy in his parent’s two room house. They lived in one room and children in another room. That humble beginning was the inception for greater works.
Currently LIGHT Home has 105 children in their care. They provide food, shelter, clothing, education and medical supplies to children.
Our LIGHT Home is less of a shelter and more of a boarding school where children find love, care, stability, encouragement, and the tools they need to build a brighter tomorrow. We believe that every child deserves a loving home, a nurturing environment, and a future full of possibilities.
